<p>I'm getting anxious at the fact that I still have no heard back. Is this normal?</p>

<p>iirc most schools notify until April 1. If you haven’t heard by then I’d contact the school. JMOO</p>

<p>I also have not heard and I’m in-state. To make it even more bizarre, my sister (who lives with me) applied after me and heard back weeks ago. Oh, UMass…</p>
<p>There were people getting acceptances last year until the middle of April.</p>
<p>So don’t panic, you will get it eventually.</p>
<p>Well it’s April 3rd…still nothing. I’m going to call tomorrow.</p>
<p>I’m in the same boat. I checked my application status today and it still says “under review.” It would make my dad very happy if I got into Amherst. Already got accepted into UMass Dartmouth, Lowell, and Boston.</p>
<p>I sent the admissions office an email about the decisions a minute ago, so hopefully they will respond back kindly.</p>

<p>My OOS kid heard back via regular mail on Monday. He probably applied on or close to the deadline and I think he indicated he is ‘undecided’ about major/program.</p>
<p>His application status on the admissions website was updated as well.</p>
<p>Thanks Kali and SoClose! I’ll really be on the lookout this week for my admissions decision and via regular mail. I’ve already enrolled at Rutgers, but it would nice to have UMass Amherst as an option just in case something happens.</p>
<p>I haven’t heard anything either, and getting nervous. Really wondering if the last ones to go are rejections- I hope not - just trying to prepare myself. I can’t imagine them leaving rejections for last, but nothing surprises me anymore. I signed up for the accepted students open house anyway,( the very last one) because according to FB they are filling up so fast. Keeping my fingers crossed! <p>I wouldn’t worry. One of my friend had her application done well before march and she just got her acceptance yesterday</p>

I also called the lady at the undergraduate admissions office and she told me the same thing and that also, the application status will not be updated until we get a hard copy of the decision in the mail. Fingers crossed. As I said before, my dad will be very happy if I get in!</p>
<p>I called today also and the guy told me decisions will be released in batches everyday until next week.</p>
<p>It sucks that this is my top school and I have to go somewhere else. My other school has much earlier deadlines and if I keep waiting around for Umass I’ll lose my spot there.

<p>I feel your pain. UMass at one point was my top school, but things dramatically changed for me. I know I shouldn’t care about whether I get accepted to Amherst because I’m most likely will not enroll, but this school still means a lot to me, so I’m definitely am still interested in hearing back. Where else did you apply, adcollegefreak?</p>

What is the deadline at your other school? Every school I know of has a May 1 deadline for enrolling. You will hear from UMass before that.</p>
<p>The other option would be to deposit at the other school. If you withdraw by May 1 the deposit should be refundable.</p>
