Still haven't been contacted for a HEOP/NOP interview...

Is it too late to be contacted? I'm not too sure of my chances outside of those programs and I think I am a good candidate for them. I REALLY want to go to Columbia :( and so far not so much as an email to conduct an interview. I did have an alumni interview, but not a HEOP/NOP interview. Anyone have any idea if I still may be contacted?

What is HEOP for? I heard that it’s for First Generation College students? How would I apply, considering the fact that I’m also pretty much a first generation college student?

me too man, m in the same boat as you…guess we’ll get rejected together! :frowning: but any other schools you applied to?

Looks like your getting rejected. All my friends had their heop interviews in early march. The process is done for sure

@mosudan:
Macaulay Honors @ City College: Rejected (They went mad hard this year, rejected someone with a 3.9 and 2300 SATS w/ loads of really good ECs and essays)

MIT: Rejected (Applied for the hell of it, I KNEW I was getting rejected.)

Columbia: Maybe we MIGHT get in through normal RD! :frowning: I hope so

Cornell: Again HEOP/NOP, also no interview…

Cooper Union: Seriously Doubting it…

Manhattan College: In with $11k/year merit scholarship, but tuition is high and I dont want to have loans for undergrad.

NYU Polytechnic: In with $12k/year merit scholarship, tuition is high (though I still didnt get my financial aid packet)

CUNY City College: In and a finalist for the New York Times Scholarship Program (which is $7500/year and a laptop! Basically Macaulay Honors minus the culture pass and the stipend… which is not bad because there has to be ways to get those kind of stipends to study abroad in the summer)

As of NOW, Im going to City College because it is the only one I can afford.

^ What are your stats?

You seem to have great stats if you got into poly w.o. heop and to have been a nytimes finalist… so I wish you the best of luck …I’m awaitng cornell and columbia too!!
