I have applied for a Doctorate degree program at the Thornton School of Music at USC and gone through the live audition process back in February. I live in the Midwest, specifically the Kansas City area. I still have not received a letter of acceptance or rejection. I've been anxiously waiting since the letters were mailed on the 27th. Are the Grad program letters sent at the same time as Undergraduate letters? Has anyone else not received a response yet?

I live near olathe kansas and have not recieved any news either. I applied as a propsective freshmen around December.

usconnect was updated last Friday. I’m not sure if that’s the case for doctorate, but if you go on your page and can see under the admissions tab a “admitted students” box, you’re in.

But as always, a phone call is the safest bet.

I can’t remember where I saw this, but thought I saw that the grad students/transfers will be the next group notified April/May? I would call admissions and ask.

I don’t believe that USconnect is set up for Doctorate candidates. I’ve been checking it and am unable to get a password to log in. My reading of the site indicates that it is only for Undergraduate students. I will give admissions a call and double check on the letters for Grad/transfers and see if they are sent later. It would be a load off my mind, although the wait has me climbing the walls. Thanks for the advice :)

I tried again to log into USconnect and was given a password and can now log in. I still haven’t received a letter of acceptance or rejection at this point. Is the fact that I can now log in a good sign since up til now I haven’t been able to do so? I’ve tried calling admissions to get the information about acceptance and they send me to Thornton admission department and the rep I spoke with says she didn’t have the authority to give me the information over the phone. Just trying to look for a ray of hope here.
