Has anyone haven't heard back from UCR yet? It's April 1st already and when I login to MyUCR, it still remains to be that admissions drinking coffee message.

All my items have been completed, scores received, etc.

Call them up and ask.

I'm still getting that same message, too. But I started looking around the MyUCR website a bit more and saw this:

Admission decisions will begin posting on MyUCR for freshman applicants on February 1, and for transfer applicants on March 1, and will continue to post daily thereafter. Do not be discouraged if you do not see your admission decision on February 1 or March 1, this is just the date that these decisions begin posting. Continue to check MyUCR daily, all on-time freshman applicant decisions will be posted by March 31, and all on-time transfer applicant decisions will be posted by April 30.

So, technically, they have until April 30th. That being said, I've been emailing with the guy who did a campus visit to my school and I'm going to pop him another email to check in since he told me I should if I didn't hear from UCR by April 1st.

But I'm a freshman. And my application was submitted ontime, like a day before the deadline, I'm sure.

try checking with a different browser?? I had a problem with that.

Gary - I would call them. There should be a number listed on MyUcr with hours (I think they were normal office hours, like 8-5). Good luck!

The site is supposedly updated daily... I heard from them (got in, too) and I'm a transfer. You should call them.

if your a freshman, then you should call them immediately because decisions for freshman were to be posted by march 31st. but if you're a transfer student, then you have until the end of this month~

:|

I just saw these posts now, and it's Friday night. I emailed them on Wednesday and they haven't replied back... I guess I'll call them up on Monday. By the way, it is still showing the coffee message, haha. I tried on another computer (Windows) and it shows the same thing.

I still haven't received a reply to my email yet... and it's been 3 business days. I called them up this afternoon and the lady there put me on hold for about 2 minutes.

I gave her my Application # and she told me that my application hasn't been reviewed yet, but they've received everything. By the way, my application was not late. All the other UC's have already responded to me.

I asked her: "But wasn't I supposed to be notified before March 31rst?" and then she told me that they were still working on making decisions everyday and will notify me once a decision has been made for my case...?

This is verrry strange. So I don't know what to do now except wait.

uhhh what? thats strange that they are still making decisions... they should let freshmen know their decisions by the end of march. especially since the ucr discover day is this saturday. what major did you apply for and were you accepted into any other UCs?

well... here's the deal.

According to the person that responded to my email, I submitted my application in November, around the 28th. And my application wasn't "received" until January (weird?), therefore, my application is considered "late" and I wouldn't be considered an "on-time freshman applicant".

So I checked my receipt and it clearly shows November, not January. So then I called them up to see what's going on. They said that because UCR was closed for 2 weeks in December, my application wasn't received until January.

I don't know... can't complain, the only thing I'm worried about is the time they are taking to get back to me... I want to tell other schools regarding enrollment, but I want to know if UCR is an option first.

well technically its their fault for not receiving your application on time... so they can't blame you for that. so they shouldn't be considering you as "late" because you weren't... idk... maybe you can go talk to the admissions counselor in person to get a straight answer?

Well, I did talk to them via the telephone and they said that I am an on-time applicant. But if I am an on-time applicant, then why haven't I received my decision before March 31rst?

I would go talk to them in person... but then again, I am considered an international applicant so I guess that is how the minority is treated.

ohhh international? meaning... out-of-state or different country?
i don't know then, but they shouldn't treat "minorities" any differently -_-

I still haven't heard back from them yet... and I saw that the UC admission statistics information for all the campuses have already been posted.

I reckon if I call them again, I will get the same answer, telling me to wait. good times.

I'm still waiting, too. :((

I feel like they're making me wait only to give me bad news.

you see, the problem is... what if I have to submit my intent to register to other schools this week?

I phoned them again (this is the 3rd time) to ask about my status. They told me the same thing. But this time, I asked what if I had to submit my SIR to other schools (in Canada) by this week?

Then the lady on the phone transferred me to another person, and the other lady told me that she will do the best that she can, and if I don't receive a reply by this Thursday, I should call her again.

I checked today and I got accepted into Bourns College of Engr, as an international student.

I ALSO learnt after my decision that I needed to take the UC Writing Placement Exam as well as the math one and the only option is to fly to California to take those tests. I don't know how (financially and time-wise) I'm going to do this haha.
