Still haven't heard from U Mich? wth?

Doubtful cause I submitted on Sep. 30 and have nothing.

I applied late September too and I haven’t heard back yet either…

Maybe they are sending decisions to those who applied the latest first?

I’m an international and I submitted my application 2 minutes before the EA deadline. (11:58 PM)
I think mine will be the last one they release; if they haven’t announced them all yet.

Did you receive an email from Michigan confirming your EA status?

I have received my decision and I am an international applicant.

I am an international applicant and I haven’t heard from UMich yet. I submitted my applicaton way before the deadline. The valedictorian in my school received her acceptance on Friday.

@americanslang
You would be right if a small number of decisions were posted on the decisions thread on Thursday but a lot of people stated that they were deferred. On Friday, for some reason, everyone posted acceptances and I saw only one reject (which is not that reliable as it was just “rejected…”)

I am trying to be optimistic but everything shows that I should expect a rejection or a deferral at best.

Last year 6 people applied to UMich from my school and 6 of them got accepted while this year only 1 of 6 applicants got accepted yet. If UMich is releasing the decisions based on the result, it is such a shame.

the same… i submitted at 10 o’clock on the last day…

Seriously, can tomorrow not come any sooner?

sAksKy…I couldn’t agree more. the wait is torturous. however, yesterday went by kind of fast? so maybe before we know it, it will be this time tomorrow and we will know(:

@GoBlue81 Yes. My EA status was confirmed. Although my application was submitted 2 minutes before the deadline, the website says it was submitted on 11/3; that’s probably when the processing was completed.
But I received the EA confirmation email a few weeks later.

Did anyone here get a 32+ on the ACT (2100+ on the SAT) and still waiting to hear back? If so, that’s a good news for the rest of us because you probably weren’t rejected.

I’d speculate the order of decisions is a combination of when the application was submitted & how clear the admissions decision one. I think the ones who haven’t received an email yet are ones that were turned in very close to deadline and/or were debated about and difficult to make a decision on (perhaps looked at at the beginning, then put off to look at again with the later applications); in short, the ones that where the decision was decided upon at the end.

@ericsss

Someone posted on another thread that they got above a 2200 on the SAT and have not heard back yet

ericsss, I have a 2210 SAT and am in-state. I haven’t heard anything yet.

That gives me hope.

Yea I got a 2240 and nothin’ yet.

A friend of mine who is ranked 1st in my class with a 33 ACT in my class has not heard back yet.

I’m 99% confident all the admits have not been sent out yet

Yea I tend to agree with the thought that there were just too many applicants and not enough workers to send out all the decisions on Friday. That being said, I do think the rejections will be rolling in Monday, and that they were clearly focused on sending out as many acceptances as possible on Friday.

I don’t think that’s the case. They are not sending the emails manually. They are not even pressing a button for each one. If they want, they can send all of them in one day.

Well idk I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I don’t see any reason why they would not want to send them all out at once.
