Still haven't heard from ucf :(

GPA 3.1/3.9
ACT 27
Extracurriculars- Many with leaderships and such

Anyone else hear back?

Oh and I applied for fall.
I believe if my scores/gpa don’t fit fall then they consider me for summer?
should I email them saying I want to change my term to summer?

I applied In early fall

If your stats aren’t on par with the Fall class then they will automatically consider you for summer. Hold out for awhile longer. When did you apply?

I got accepted for Fall 2013.

October but some of my friends have gotten in already with lower scores but a bit higher GPA then mine this weekend.

And you’re sure all your documents are in? Wait a little longer. I’d say if you don’t get an acceptance by March, start to worry.

So should I email admissions and tell them to change my term to summer?

I wouldn’t ask to switch terms, I would just ask to clarify if they have received all of your documents.

Good Luck and GOD BLESS

I applied late December and go accepted early January.

I think you’ll be accepted. Have you checked myucf to make sure they have your transcripts and test scores?

I applied mid December and was accepted today. You should email them.

I applied in September. 4.0 / 1780, but I’m not a minority and didn’t reveal my family situation in the essay. (It’s none of their business.) Still haven’t heard. Called multiple times and was told nothing more than “check the website”, which I’ve done. It’s fine. All items present and accounted for. Meanwhile, I was accepted to multiple other schools that are on par with UCF or more selective. I was accepted at every other school I applied to.

UCF was my first choice but this is leaving a really bad taste in my mouth. I don’t think the educational experience there would be so good, if this is the best they can do at admissions.

With your stats, you should be accepted. I don’t think it’s because you’re white and didn’t mention your family that you didn’t get accepted, though. I know a female hispanic who’s dependent on a veteran who applied in early November and hasn’t heard back yet and a white female who’s not who heard back a couple weeks later. The first’s family situation is definitely worse and their stats are pretty similar. I don’t know whether or not they mentioned it. Just to be clear, you’ve mentioned that all your items are present, right? You have, but yeah.

Honestly, UCF is like this because they’re huge. They have around 50, 000 students and who knows how many applicants this year calling and emailing them. When I get a generic message that looks like it was prewritten and automatically sent, I’m really not surprised. I don’t expect the same concern given at small colleges to be received at huge universities. If I’m wrong and you’ve received personal correspondents from universities as large or larger, then sorry. This is just what I think.

Congrats on your other acceptances, though. On the bright side. X)

So if you don’t get accepted into Fall they’ll let you choose to go in for Summer instead?

If you do not get accepted for the fall they will automatically consider you for the summer.

Lol well I emailed them and they emailed me a Link with a form to fill out.

Not sure what to do now.

Fill out the form, I guess, and call. My DD got accepted in November (applied late October) with same gpa and a little better SAT (1360), but a friend of hers with similar grades and a 25 ACT got accepted for summer. My niece applied last year and NEVER heard from them (even though she was clearly in the acceptable range), and while my daughter got accepted on their website and got some postcards inviting her to apply tom the Honors College, etc., she never got an actual acceptance letter from the school. She’s been accepted to six other schools, and UCF is the only one who hasn’t sent her a paper letter. So, obviously, they are extremely disorganized, and people slip through the cracks.

Just got in today :D

I guess patience was the key.

Never sent term change and got into fall!

Congratulations! Was UCF your first choice? I hear that it’s a great school.

I’m so happy for you, hipster! XD Congratulations.
