Still hearing nothing...

I am an international who applied RD....
i still haven't heard from U of R..no email...no letter.

this means I am rejected, right?

thanks.

"Thank you for your e-mail message. Our notification process has changed a bit this year and we are notifying students of their admission decisions at different times. Please do not think that a later notification date means you have not been accepted. We anticipate all student will be notified of their admission decision by March 24."

I got in..............no FA................not going...........

I'm an Intl as well.

Got an email saying I'm in!

But no Financial aid...so no chance of going!

The weird thing is- I'd forgotten to send my supplemental essay! I found the package lying at a corner of my room in mid Feb! As I'd already given up on UR, I didn't send the package. I didn't even contact the admissions councellor a single time!

Is this the reason I got no FA? Why was I even accepted?

SAT: 2000
GPA: N/A but I'm an average student
EC's: few but of considerable quality
Financial Status: From a developing country: My parents have a total of
$50,000; Yearly income: about $10,000

F.A. package is mailed separately from the acceptance package.

They sent me an email specifying that I did not get any FA

"Congratulations! We are excited to offer you admission to the University of Richmond. This acceptance reflects our acknowledgement of your academic achievement and potential for success as a member of the Richmond community.

All international students were considered for both merit scholarships and need based financial. Those decisions are finalized and the University is unable to offer you any financial assistance. Due to the competitiveness of the international applicant pool and limited institutional resources, less than 10% of the international candidates will receive any financial assistance. To finalize your admission, please forward the attached International Financial Certification in the minimum amount of $47,410.00. "

A polite rejection would have been a lot better than this- to think I could go if I had the money!

wow, that sucks, apply to an Ivy or stanford, they are generous with financial aid :)

Was yesterday the last day that we had to get the acceptance e-mail?
They told me that in a few days I'll get an e-mail regarding my decision but it may be rejection. Right?

Accepted... no financial aid :)

"Due to the competitiveness of the international applicant pool and limited institutional resources, less than 10% of the international candidates will receive any financial assistance."

Why didn't they put it on their website earlier so we would know not to apply there?!

Still heard nothing.. No e-mail, no regular mail..
do you think i'm rejected?
i am international

I haven't heard, either.
kazkod, u won't be the only one intl who will be rejected from them.

I got an e-mail...and
I am accepted!
Also with financial aid..=)
I would never thought they would give me 75% financial aid.
so happy =))

Congrats, kazkod!
