still in process?

Stats are below the average. In state. H.S. Doesn’t provide ranking. SAT 1680. Incredible essay. Sorry to be vague but at this point… We’re just praying :-). Would hate to be disappointed after having us wait this long! Trying to be optimistic. Don’t want to jinx it.

They’re just waiting to sort thru everyone. If they find a BUNCH of people better than you (which, honestly, they probs wont. Your sat is nice and decent) then they’d probably wait list you. If you have good ECs, and improving grades over the years, you should hear back soon with good news.

I applied to Rutgers NB, SAS and SEBS, and they just got back to me about a week ago. I didnt think i had a great shot at getting in. I had a couple bad grades (but they were in honors classes), but some good grades too. SAT is 1760, I’m heavily involved with music and marching band, along with being the VP of the band my junior yr and President and Drum Major senior year. I do all sorts of statewide bands, and some clubs at my school. If your ECs are as involved as that^^^, and grades have an upward trend, you SHOULD get in. Dont worry about it :)

Very nice of you to contribute towards this thread, as it gave me the needed boost to be hopeful again. Congratulations on your achievements and I wish you all great success!

6 more business days to notification deadline and tomorrow is my daughter birthday. Any luck @Rivers 192?

@Anamami
I applied on 10/27 as well and my SAT score was lower than your daughters and I was accepted recently. Don’t lose hope! Keep checking the actual portal, it updates late every night.

Thank you @Jerseygirl 966!! I’m hoping alright! What a great B-Day present that would be :heart: If u don’t mind me asking, what is your weighted GPA?

@Anamami
Weighted is 3.7 and my highest sat was a 1580
I’ll be hoping for her!

Do you think rutgers will accept sat scores if i send them in feb before feb 31st?

If a decision hasn’t been made yet with your current scores, then they’ll consider them for making a decision. I’d email admissions (apply2rutgers@admissions.rutgers.edu). they respond quick and will give you an accurate answer

To @jerseygirl966 and @rivers192, I’m happy to share that my daughter was finally admitted to the NB School of Arts and Sciences. This blog has definitely helped me cope with the wait and address numerous questions I have. We are still waiting to hear from the Business school but this is her first choice so we are very happy. @rivers192, I hope things work out for you as well.

just got accepted into NB SAS today!!! not a strong candidate either. 1600 SAT and 3.2 GPA but a lot of impressive extracurricular and an amazing essay

Which school do you guys think is easier to get into - SEBS or SAS, being that many more people apply to SAS as opposed to SEBS

I am only guessing: SEBS because way more people apply to SAS and other schools (in combination) like Pharmacy, RBS, SOE.
