I’m an in-state student and applied on November 1st. My application, according to OSU’s website is still in evaluation. Seeing so many people on here that have received a decision (and not many - if any at all - that have not), I’m a bit concerned. All of my required materials are showing “submitted” on the OSU website, so I don’t have any idea what the problem could be. Am I just being impatient? or is something wrong? Thanks!

What are your stats? Maybe you’re on the border…

I would only be concerned if you applied early action.

If you applied regular decision, then you’ll probably get your admissions decision soon, since (I believe) OSU uses rolling admissions.

@kshinforthewin My stats are:

ACT 32 (34 E, 35 R, 30 M, 29 S)
3.977 GPA weighted
Taken 4 AP tests - three 3s and one 4
Class rank: 14/217
ECs are ‘weak’ - 4 years cross country, 3 years track, lots of smaller volunteer projects (timing swim meets, working toys for tots, working at preschool carnivals)
Current course-load is entirely IB material - I’m currently a diploma candidate.

Am I on the border?

@Texas2Ohio I applied early action.

I applied on 10/15. Still no decision.

@ssahil What major did you designate in your application? Is it possible that has anything to do with it? I indicated comp sci/engineering

My son applied EA/IS also and is still waiting. His stats aren’t great but nothing to sneeze at. ACT-28, 3.5 uw gpa, early college high school student…3.74 college gpa, Phi Theta Kappa, dean’s list last 2 years, Assoc of Arts will be received in May. I’m on pins and needles as OSU is his first choice. Already accepted at OU (Meteorology-Mathematics).

According to a counselor, OSU will not post any acceptances this week or next. They accept in batches, so no worries if you haven’t heard. Status updates usually take place on Fridays. I would chill until Jan 9th.
My son is still waiting to hear too. OOS applicant.

@garflsmack I applied for Biomedical Engineering (Premed too)

@garflsmack Your stats seem great actually… I submitted my application one day before you did. I applied as an actuarial science major and I had a 28 ACT, 3.58 UW GPA, 4.06 W GPA, and I still got accepted. I shouldn’t worry, unless for some bizarre circumstance where they didn’t receive your transcripts or ACT score on time since you applied the deadline day, but I think you’re fine.

If you took the October ACT, and that was the only/first score you sent them, then your application most likely got moved to the regular decision pool.

There’s no way you won’t be accepted buddy. A 32 ACT alone will get you in. But I am in the same boat. It’s been about 6 weeks now and still evaluation. Though the week before and after Christmas, they supposedly aren’t doing anything, so if yours is at the very bottom of the pile right next to mine, they’re probably going to get to it right after break. Maybe the week of January 5th.
I applied 10/26 still in evaluation, should I be concerned?
Stats:
31 ACT
4.0
Top 10% of class
Multiple clubs that I am president of
Competitive dancer
Currently taking 7 AP classes
@sed608 I don’t think you have to worry. They are releasing on a rolling admissions. You should hear soon!!
Admitted this afternoon!
Also admitted this afternoon. Still wondering whether or not this counts as early admission or not.
