I applied to Chicago RD (and submitted the optional interview request form) and I still did not get an email from an interviewer. I live in Ottawa, Canada, which I don’t think is a location too remote for interviews to take place, especially since some interviews are done online. I’m a little worried that I might not get an interview at all. Is there still any chance for me to get an interview?
No idea if you’ll get one or not, but wanted to let you know not to worry about it as far as your chances for admission. There were many applicants admitted (including my son) without an interview. So if you have questions about the college, contact the admissions office but if you are concerned that lack of an interview impacts admission prospects… don’t worry about it. Good luck.
You most likely will not get one at this point. I often do alumni interviews and the deadline for interview reports for RD is tomorrow.
Interviews can be fun and a great place to ask questions, but it doesn’t mean much for admissions. I suspect it’s just a matter of having enough available and willing interviewers. I get several interview requests from the coordinator in the region where I live each year. I try to do as many as I can, but there’s usually a fairly short turnaround between when I get the request and the deadline, and so sometimes I decline if I am just too busy that month. That interview may or may not get assigned to someone else. It’s a volunteer thing, so that’s what happens sometimes, especially in regions wither fewer alums. Don’t worry about it.
