Still Not Have Heard Anything?!

I am getting rather stressed.

EVERYONE at my high school has gotten decisions from colleges they have applied to and I have not.
All of the portals just say “We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.” Or “We have received your application. It is pending review. Please check back here for updates.”

I AM GOING TO CRY WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING RESPONSES AND I AM STILL IN THE DARK I WORK HARD I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS

Alas you do have to deal with this just like everyone else has to deal with it. Everyone else worked hard too. Just relax, it will come when it comes

The wait is hard but there is nothing you can do about it. Melodrama doesn’t make it better. Take a deep breath and recognize that if you applied wisely (to reach, match, and safety schools which you would be happy to attend) that you will be fine. Most colleges give an idea of when they will let you know on the website and for rolling schools, perhaps your friends got their applications in before you did.

…Did you apply to the same schools? Different schools have different decision dates. That’s not a reflection on you.

Millions of students work hard. If you didn’t apply to any schools EA or with rolling admissions, then yes, you just have to wait it out. Some schools also release decisions in batches. Many colleges don’t release anything at all until mid-March. I can understand that it’s hard having to wait, but I don’t understand why you are so upset about it. All the other kids applied ED, or EA, ot to schools with rolling admissions. You didn’t. I can’t see the problem. If someone asks, that’s what you say.

The problem is… is that they have received decisions from the same schools I applied too … not EA or ED.
Regular decision … that’s why I’m nervous. This is my future we are talking about

REGULAR decision or ROLLING decision?

Regular decision is typically released all once. Rolling decisions are typically released first-come-first-served or whenever the school feels like it.

They are on a rolling decision

then you likely sent the application later than them

So there’s no problem. Maybe the people at your school applied earlier than you. Maybe they applied to different majors than you. Maybe it’s totally random and you’ve just been unlucky not to hear. It’s not that the schools all looked at your app and were like, “We’re going to keep them waiting, out of spite.”

Nothing’s wrong. Just hang in there.
