ummmm... shouldn't I know whether I was accepted or not by now?

You should probably call the admission's office.

I haven't heard from them either...

same thing here

I heard back from Trin around April 4th, so give it at least until Friday, methinks.

same thing also here ....

haven't heard from it either...
I'm an intel...

Thats so weird. I wonder whats taking them sooo long.

what are they waiting for

any progress guys?

none whatsoever....

I received my email -- waitlisted AGAIN

its ok knox, you'll probably get in.

I'm an intel and I also just recieved the waitlist notification by e-mail.
@knox did you ask for aid?

will they be mailing out the letters as well, or are we supposed to respond by e-mail? Also, what are my chances if I asked for financial aid as an international student? Does anyone know if they have used the wait list in the past (heavily)?

a lot questions, i know, but I thought I had a pretty good chance....

Trinity's admission is need-blind, so they won't know that you want financial aid until after you're accepted.

I'm not sure that Trinity "heavily" uses it waitlist... there is only space for 575 members of a new class, so really I think it would depend on the response from accepted students. However, if it does make you feel better, I know several students from the class of 2011 who were accepted off of the waiting list.

Trinity isn't need-blind for international students.

tanveer149 -- I don't know an int applicant who hasn't applied for FA :)
so yes, I applied for FA

Trinity is most-likely utilizing its waitlist to raise its percent yield (aka tufts syndrome--wikipedia it). They are trying to keep kids that seem like they'll get into better schools from lowering their yield--thus, if you seem very qualified for admission (as I am assuming you are), and you send Trinity (or any other school youre waitlisted at which seemed like a fit/safety) a letter that expresses your desire to go solely to their school (although they don't know how truthful you're being--unless they check with other schools) you will have a very good chance of being admitted.
Good luck.
