anyone get any news?

when i was sent the letter for wait list about a month ago i chose to be put on wait list and tamu blinn team. for my major selection the AIS said this:
1. business administration
2. tamu-blinn general studies

i looked today and now read this

tamu-blinn team general studies

business administration

i guess im goin to blinn

Toast mine said the same thing

So, does the changing of the order mean that you are in the blinn team now? Where do you verify that?

My sister in law is checking as we speak, her son's says the same thing. Is he in Blinn?

i called and got a recorder, figures on a friday

It means you requested to be placed on the waiting list and considered for Blinn TEAM and, if they pick you up, you will be enrolled in the General Studies department.

This might benefit a waitlister or two.
I'm in a predicament.

I received my acceptance to A&M quite a while ago.
Then I received my acceptance to all my other colleges, one being the college I'll ultimately attend.

I decide not to attend A&M.
I realize there isn't a section on the website to decline admission.
Even after I send in my SIR to my college, I make sure to send e-mails/press the "I will not attend" button on the other colleges.

I assumed A&M would assume I would not attend.
Yesterday I got a postcard in the mail telling me that "As a new Aggie" I need to register for a New Student Conference.

How can I tell them that I'm not attending? Why didn't just letting the deadline pass work? I feel guilty since there are those on the waitlist who are in effect waiting, but I'm not sure what else to do short of not responding and them ultimately realizing I won't attend when I don't show up/register for a new student conference.

Why can't they just leave me be?

i had the same probably except i originally accepted. i sent them an e-mail through the AIS page and told them i would not be attending and they changed the status on my page.

called them today, supposedly we are supposed to hear by the end of may...any new news for anyone on waitlist? I'm worried.

well, as mentioned before, i was on the waitinglist and then they notified me on may 10th i was admitted. so the waitinglist definitely functions as advertised.

I am also on the waiting list, and recently they accepted me into a&m galveston. is that harder than getting in to blinn team or easyer?

From today's WSJ:

Elite Colleges Reach Deeper Into Wait Lists - WSJ.com

update on my ais today:

they added a step 6

Step 6: Communicate Final Admission Decision
- We will notify you of the decision for this application. (Mailed 5/21)

this change for anyone else?

me too ...............

same wording on d AIS...just have to stalk our mailman

My nephew's said that as well, and my sister in law checked the a&m mail system and he has an address saying "team" so he's IN!!!!

Check through the mail system to see if you have an address.

I just called her to ask where it is.

Go to TAMU.edu webmail and look for directory, then type in your name and see if it comes up with an address.

thank you so much ag54 for posting that....checked on my d and her says "team" as well

Yay!! Congrats!! Glad to help relieve the stress:)
