Still pending for UC Davis

nah, i applied bunch of different majors.

as for davis, I doubt that I will get in, cuz I lack o-chem, however, it is somewhat a tough choice for me, cuz I have lotta friend over in davis (i actually go there a lot since it's close to my home) and it provides housing.

if I get into LA i will definitely decline UCD.

i'm still pending too and it's really making me nervous. uc davis is the ONLY school i have ever wanted to go to. i've gotten into every other uc i applied to, and looking at the statistics, UCI and UCSB, even UCSC have lower acceptance rates for transfers than davis, and got into both of them weeks ago. plus davis ahd a 6% decrease in applicants this year, so our chances should ahve been pretty good. it's depressing.

i am going back to theory that we are somehow placed on hold.

:( :(
blackdream based on your theory by when are they going to tell us?

April 30th. I starting to lose faith in the "random" argument, it's obvious that they are releasing decisions in batches.

i havent heard anybody rejected from davis
do u know anyone?
i just cant believe what they told you about "not holding rejections"

I haven't, but I did heard about rejection for SD (which is also doing a similar format as D), therefore I believe that they may indeed not holding rejections. We are all borderline to them. No one is CLEARLY not qualified.

However, I do know a clearly disqualified person, with NO GENERAL chemistry and biology to apply biology major. However, he is pending with UCSD (personally I believe he's clearly disqualified, for he lacks like 6 classes, yet UCSD did not reject him)

Though I did heard someone got rejected this week from SD.

i just wish that if they were going to reject us, they'd tell us as soon as possible instead of letting us hold out hope until the last minute. it's more painful that way.

you know, after reading your story about TAA, i really feel the pain of you browneyedgirl.

there is a chance however, as UCD told me that they are still finishing up. NOTE UCD is not exactly the most competitive school ever.

only 2 units!!!
i had the units, but i didnt have the GPA.. i had a 2.87 and needed 2.9
so i was near just as you, and couldnt do it...
i got really mad

We have carefully reviewed your records and regret that we cannot offer you admission. The selection process was very difficult this year, as we had an excellent pool of competitive applicants from which to choose our new class of undergraduates.

Rejected from UC Davis

ely_113, i feel your pain. hey, we might both end up at UCSB. plus we are both psych majors. how weird is that?

:( i know... and we couldnt sign the TAA...

let me know if you end up going to SB :) I wont appeal so it's for sure i will go there.
thats where im going! i already changed my profile on roommates from Davis to Santa Barbara :(

I just got rejected from UCD this morning.

Rejected as well :( . It sucks cuz i get in after highschool but was unable to go. Does this automatically mean that I wont get into LA or berk?

Wow...very shocked at how many ppl are getting rejected from davis.

rejected too

UCD hates us. or at least me. i didn't ge tin out of high school with a 3.8, 1300, volunteer work, and ASB officer. while my friend with a 3.0 and 1050 sat did get in.

and now i have a 3.6 and all my reqs done and still don't get in. one of my friends who goes to davis said he was in the admissions office the other day and overheard someone asking about transfer students. the guy wanted to know what his friend's chances were of getting in. the admissions officer said that if he had a 3.0 or highger he was basically guaranteed a spot. so what do i need, a 4.0? excuse me for being so angry, but i am upset. i've been waiting 2 years for this.
