Still possible to send additional information?

There's some non crucial, but beneficial additional information that I would like to send to my colleges. It's just some awards, accomplishments that I forgot / didn't put on my application for whatever reason, and now I'm kicking myself for it. I heard from a friend that additional information is still allowed, as long as the crucial information was submitted by the deadlines. This goes for supplementary recommendation letters as well. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

few of my colleges said yes, send them. we'll consider them. i need to contact my other colleges

Sending additional information can't hurt you, can it? =)

Right - it's not like that extra material is going to reach the admissions board and they throw you out for being over-eager. At worst, the processing center will just trash it!
