Yeah, the reason I’m worried is that other people have been getting their decisions, and if we’re this far in and we have nothing the freshman class must be pretty full by now, and we don’t even have decisions. I feel like we might not be getting a fair shake - like it’s gonna work out like rolling admissions even though it’s not rolling.

edit: plus I’m getting ****ed in terms of other schools I applied to and I would really like to have this option

edit again: checked out their site again, found this:

Limited enrollment programs
You may receive your admission decision later than the dates listed above, if you have applied to a particularly selective, limited enrollment program.

So what programs did the other people still waiting apply to?

I called McGill admissions and they said that they are reviewing people in Canada first before reviewing people internationally. They also said that decisions would be available for the US before May 1st.

I applied to Chemical Engineering and Desautels.

Oh my god this is ridiculous. I’m in the same boat as you Kevinn95. I have exact same major as you and errrryyything. What are you guys stats like for anyone applying to engineering? I don’t want to have to wait for another month just to possibly be disappointed. Anyone in the mood who applied for engineering please post your stats.

applied to management in September with all documentation. Added sat scores (even though not required of internationals) and sat on ready for review until mid-March when I sent an email asking if there was a problem with my application. Within 2 hours, I changed to further review required with a request for a summary of activities. I had offered this to them with my application way back when, but they very clearly stated, “do not submit anything unless we request it.” It took 6 months for them to even look at my app. International and US students have so much immigration paperwork to process, we should be the first to be notified.

Hi. I’m a student there. My friend here went through the same R-DP for a while. His status changed in May to Accepted. So, it might take as long as that. Hope this helps.

I’ve heard back from every single college I applied to except for Mcgill. Still nothing… Kind of ridiculous that I’m going to have to put in a deposit to a US school before I even hear about the decision.

I’m in the same boat as you guys too. I’m a U.S. applicant but I’m a Canadian citizen and I’ve had Reviewed Decision Pending for about a month now and all my application documents have been submitted since mid December except for my mid-year reports which were only submitted on Feb 25th. But this is getting really annoying since decisions were supposed to be posted by March 27th and I’ve heard back from all my schools exceot for McGill. UGH this is annoying!!

Agreed, this is getting ridiculous…im also a canadian citzen applying from the us and if i dont get accepted to mcgill ill be going to u of toronto but mcgill is my first choice

ive literally have had this r-dp status forever…some of my friends have already gotten accepted back in late feb!! at this point all i want is a decision so i can finalize my college plans!

do you guys think its a good thing that we’re r-dp and not waitlisted? not sure if mcgill is deciding between waitisting/accepting us or waitlisting/rejecting us…

“Please note that we are still processing applications and releasing decisions. Understandably, this is a stressful time for you and we are aware that most Universities in the U.S have decisions up by May 1st.However, please bear in mind that there is a large volume of applications to consider and we are working on them as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please continue to check minerva for updates. Our aim is to have all decisions available before May 1st.”

The site says that some programs are more selective and require more time because of this. Does anyone know if materials science engineering is one of these? I called 2 times today and my phone hung up after 15 minutes both times (maybe a way of not charging me for international calls? no clue why this happened) so I just emailed them again. I really love Montreal and would like to see McGill before I deposit somewhere else
