Still sick questions

Well I tried running last night because I finally felt better, and then I got a fever again a little later. Right now I’m kind of worried. It seems like all my hard work preparing went down the drain, I can’t enjoy my last moments with my friends and family, and I leave in just a few days. All of that combined isn’t helping me mentally. Honestly at this point after being sick for a week and a half, I don’t mind not doing as well through Basic, as long as I make it through. But what I’m really worried about is bringing my squad down. If I’m sick I’m going to break before everyone else. If the cadre see that I’m doing the best I can are they going to hold it against me that I’m not performing as well? Should I even mention to anyone that I’m sick (I don’t want to appear weak or complaining)?

you may be surprised with all the hard work you put into training, how quickly your performance will return. you are not starting from ground zero again.

Hard to predict what will happen. But do your best.

If you feel sick enough that it will be hurting your health to be training, then you need to tell someone. Don't be afraid to get the treatment you need. Some medical turn backs are a result of being quiet.

I would say don't worry about it. If you just have a fever DO NOT mention it to your cadre. What would you expect your cadre to do if you do mention it to them? Have you sit and watch while everyone else does PT? Anyway, if you are in decent shape you should be able to keep up with the training even if you are sick. And EVERYONE will be sick by the time 2nd bct comes around anyway.

Okay great thats all I needed to hear. Thank you.
