Still waiting for ACT scores!

Is there anyone else who is still waiting? I haven't been able to access my scores from the ACT website for the June 10th exam. Should I be worried? All my friends got their scores weeks ago. I am petrified that they are posting scores from highest to lowest. The science section really floored me.

I still haven't gotten mine. I don't think it's anything to worry about. When I called ACT last week they said that not all the tests had been scored yet.

It can take as long as 8 weeks to receive your scores, especially if you took the the Writing portion.

How old are you people that are still waiting on scores? Maybe ACT grades those who will need their scores fastest for college/applications.

I will be Senior as of Fall

That's weird then. I would definitely try contacting ACT directly.

i got my scores before they were free online. i guess i was on of the lucky ones.

Yeah, moonbeast, you were one of the lucky 90-some percent.

They do not post scores online from highest to lowest, and they do not prioritize scoring based on anything about you. They post scores from national test dates as soon as they get scored and matched up with your registration data, unless they are put on hold. Order of scoring is by arrival of the documents from the test center. Everyone gets matched up and posted online the first day unless their data doesn't match and someone has to fix it, or they are on hold.

If you still can't see your scores online, it means one of several things:
You owe money.
There was a testing irregularity that is still being investigated.
You made a mistake copying your matching information onto your answer sheet.
You put down the wrong test form or serial number.
You tested as a standby.
You WERE on hold for one of these reasons or some other trivial reason, and someone screwed up and didn't take you off hold.

If you are getting the "we don't have a record of you" message, you are probably entering the wrong SSN/ACT ID or date of birth, or else you didn't do "national" testing. If you don't think either of these are true, you really need to call them.

I would try calling the ACT records department to ask why you haven't gotten your scores in the mail at (319) 337-1313. I would ALSO try calling the registration department to ask why you can't see your scores online (I think they know more about that) at (319) 337-1270. If they won't tell you anything useful, at least confirm that you are using the same SSN and date of birth that they have on file.

And please report back anything you find out.

i didn't pay to see them online i got them in the mail before they were free online. the first time i took the test it took forever to get my scores.

The reason they make the scores free online when they do is because by then, the great majority of testers have gotten their scores by mail already.

Thank you very much for your help. I will call today.

I don't mean i got them right before they were free online, I got them way before. It was 3 days after they started posting scores online. I guess that was just their way of making up for the first time which took the entire seven weeks. I always thought they put them up for free once they started sending them not after most people already got them, but that does make more sense.

The first reports (without writing) hit the mailstream the same day as the first posting online. It's not like they're sitting on your paper reports, waiting to collect as many $8 fees as they can before they put them in the mail. If your scores are available online, they're mailing them out--unless you took writing.
