STILL waiting for high school transcripts

just the general email address admissions@ucf.edu i’ve emailed them about 3 times and all have been answered fairly quickly. i guess you just have to be SUPER nice and really thank them before they give you any information just so they’re more willing to want to help.

so as21608, you said you got an email from the dean of admissions. do you know who that is? and was it on your 3rd time that you emailed them and you heard from the dean? I’m tired of talking to these ladies who keep giving me a different time length for my transcript. Some say a week to ten days, another says two to three weeks, I’m to the point where I’m irritated with them.
thanks

I also emailed them during school yesterday for a particular question, and they got back my last period of the day. Their emails defiantly don’t go unanswered, they always email back, and very quickly.

d had HS transcripts send last Friday and they have been received as of this morning. Status just changed.

was that for her college transcripts helpful mom? and their email people just give the same answer the people do. if its over three weeks something is wrong… well id rather not just wait to see if they screwed up…

No, that was for HS transcripts. We were told not to send college since the classes are on her HS transcripts. It still says waiting for college transc on her status but I am not concerned about that.

Ppms92, my d has friends who were accepted prior to their transcripts even being sent. Obviously, it was due to a high self reported score and gap on their applications. Her one friend had a 32 act and 4.5 recalc. Gap. They also may not be updating regularly.

Sorry I mean the Sr. Assistant Director-- not the dean. It came from Genyth Travis. It has been a month since I’ve been battling the transcript problem. I don’t have high stats and I honestly need them to review me sooner than later.

My DD has now sent 2 transcripts, one 5 weeks ago, and 1 2 weeks ago, from her high school and still the status says “waiting”. She called, and I called, and the woman who answered the phone was quite rude and said to be patient. She applied before Labor Day and this is getting ridiculous. She also emailed and still has not gotten a response.
Who does she call now?

Try looking up the phone number for the dean or head of admissions. I am doing that next week if my status doesn’t change. They didn’t receive mine the first time so I faxed it LIKE THEY TOLD ME TO IN THE EMAIL. Then emailed them because after two weeks it still said they had nothing, and they told me it CANNOT even be accepted by fax. So Monday I overnighted it. I made sure to track it and it is 100% delivered but no status change.

Are you instate or OOS? Public or private if instate? I’m just wondering if they are giving priority to FL public school students.

out of state. public. UCF is my dream school and literally the only college I want to go to. I obviously applied to others just in case, but UCF blows all of them out of the water. UCF is also the only college who hasn’t gotten everything…

I’m in state and gettin the same thing

:( this is literally my dream. i’ve never wanted something more in life, honestly.

yeah… i’ve sent in my high school transcript 1 month ago, and they never got it… sent another one in, 2 weeks ago, and they say give a week for it to process… its been exactly 1 week now, and its still not updated yet… i’m getting anxious… i really want to go to ucf in spring :/

I am in state, and I sent my transcripts on the 29th, and they received them on the 1st. It is so weird seeing so many peoples transcripts not being received by UCF.

I know for a fact they got them-- it said it on the USPS tracking status, but I’m guessing they just didn’t sort through the mail and update my status. Should I annoy them with another email?

Mine were sent instate as well and no progress. It does not give a warm feeling that they know what they are doing, plus they aren’t nice on the phone and won’t talk to me, only my daughter, which is fine I guess, but my daughter is busy and not around during the hours that the office is open!

If it may help anyone-----

Apparently UCF will only accept a paper High School transcript that requires submission via snail-mail as apposed to an electronic transfer as done by most other colleges. For this reason, UCF admissions personnel will sort through each transcript by hand which is a time consuming process and will obviously delay the admission process. Although UCF strongly suggest against the following, “in my opinion”, I would have your guidance counselor on a weekly basis submit multiple paper transcripts until you can receive verification that UCF has posted this information on their web site.

I appreciate your idea, but they charge us for every transcript sent and we shouldn’t have to send multiples. Our guidance dept is too busy to to this anyway. Every other large university got the transcripts and changed the status within 2 weeks. They must be having some serious problems in UCF’s admissions office.
