We’re all getting a little cynical with this ridiculous wait. I think next year they should go to e-mail responses rather than drag it out like this.

We sent an e-mail to them asking virtually the same thing as BrylinMoyGyeroy’s mom and they responded with a form response signed “Student Worker” saying that “The last of the admissions decision letters should be out by the end of this week.”

So that means they might not even make it by the end of the week. Be forewarned.

I qualify for that waiting list. Though, I do live in Europe so I can expect that letter in about … 4-5 days? It depends when and how (i.e. priority mail) they send it, for me at least. I too read it on the site that the date would be April 1st, for those still in need of reassurance. Anyone know why they don’t update application pages at all?

i called again today asking if they could just tell me, the refused saying i had to wait for the letter. then they said if it doesnt arrive tomorrow then to call again..

ripken 204, Did they say that they give any detail at all as to why you haven’t received your response yet? I’m kinda curious as to why they are still figuring this all out.

After this agonizingly painful wait, I too have been extended an invitation to wait for another two months or so for them to finally just admit they don’t want me.

I’d have to agree this doesn’t sound at all positive. How ridiculous to hold the denials for so late in the game, those should go out first so the applicants can move on!

Is the Alternate List worth the wait? I have two other schools pending notice, and I already have acceptances, so it’s obviously not my top choice. But I’ve never been waitlisted before so I’m not entirely sure of my chances (in general, I know they’re not high).

In general, it mean that someone else who has similar stats to yours-- and similar differences from other candidates-- has to decline a spot before they reconsider you. It’s not you vs all other waitlist candidates. This I’ve gleaned from the way several waitlists letters were worded that I’ve seen.
