I am still waiting on "Reviewed- Decision pending" in my status. I thought today was supposed to be the admissions notification deadline according to the McGill website?

Hummm weird you should call them … And see what they say … But I will not worry if I were you …

Good luck :D

thanks i hope i get in :)

hey almualim i’m still waiting with that too- if you call and get an answer, could you post it here what they say? I thought there’d be decisions by now! thanks!

I called them today. They just said the decision is still pending, nothing more. It doesn’t mean good or bad. And we are now two days past the supposed deadline…

The only people that have been accepted are the people who got in for early admission. If you haven’t been accepted yep, it means you weren’t accepted for early acceptance because you’d potentially be taking the spots of smarter people who just applied later than you. Don’t worry, this means you are now being considered for McGill’s second round of “regular admissions”. You’ll hear from them soon.

did they give an indication as to when they’d post the decisions by?
also aantie66, the way i understood their admissions was that there was no “early” and “regular” like there is in american schools, but rather just a rolling process, because they are continually reviewing applications and sending out decisions, i don’t see any suggestion of groups of applicants or any kind of early or regular decision…have i missed something?

@em1093, there is not “rolling admissions” at McGill, there is early admission and then regular admission. At McGill all applicants have two chances to be admitted. All applicants are assesed for the first round of “early admission”. The only people that get admitted during this stage are the top, students that usually have about a 96< average. Those who were not admitted during this stage will be considered for the second round of “regular admission”. More of this can be read here: [Admission and entrance scholarship decision release dates](http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/decision/)

@aantie66: Some of the posters still pending are American applicants and the last day for notification was to be March 29th according to the website. What you posted does not apply to American applicants.

@aantie66 I am am american applicant so for us I think it is somewhat rolling… although since march 29th passed I’m kind of wondering what’s going on…

Just thought I should mention that the title heading for admission decision notifications says:

“Estimated dates for posting of admission decisions for September 2011”

My daughter is a Canadian citizen going to school in the US and she still hasn’t heard - “Reviewed - Decision Pending”. She applied to Mechanical Engineering. I haven’t seen many acceptances for Engineering yet so maybe the notifications are more related to the specific school (Engineering, Arts, etc…)?

RE#10, my son is in the same boat.

I just got a decision, so if you’re still waiting, I’m sure it will be soon.

Actually my son’s notice is still “Further Review Required”. They’ve had all his materials for a long time now, guess they haven’t gotten around to read them yet?

em1093, what program were you accepted into?

This afternoon, my daughter was finally accepted into the Mechanical Engineering program - yay! I called earlier today and left a voicemail so I am unsure whether this had anything to do with her being notified today or not. She is a canadian citizen but goes to high school in the US.

Seems like most kids at my daughter’s school are still waiting to hear for science or engineering programs-- (French Bacc/International Bacc USA private school)
