Still waiting to hear?

Hi, I have posted this many times before but I feel like no one has responded, haha. I auditioned at Chicago Unifides and I still have yet to hear anything from UMich. Is this a good thing? I have no idea.

My daughter also auditioned at Chicago (straight acting, not MT) and has yet to hear as well. Going a little crazy here, as its her first choice program, and so far all she has been hearing is no from her other audition schools. She is feeling just slightly, cautiously optimistic as she thought it was her best audition, and she knows of several people who also auditioned at that time and got rejections pretty quickly. From reading these boards, it sounds like they have been sending some rejections out after each round of auditions (but not necessarily acceptances), so if you weren't rejected right away, you (and my D!) must still be in the running. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for good news!

UMich still has one day left of auditions - today - so I would guess all decisions would be made by next week - ?

I called the admissions office today, and they told me they sent my daughter's decision letter out yesterday. . . of course, they could not say what was in it, but at least now we know it is on its way. They also confirmed that the policy of the admissions office is to send all decisions out by regular mail, not email.

Did the admissions office say that about Theatre and Musical Theatre or just Theatre? I know they had their last audition for Musical Theatre today so I am sure I will be finding out soon. Good luck to your D! :)

My D applied for straight theatre, not MT.

also waiting on straight theatre. auditioned at michigan on march 16th.

Still nothing...

My daughter finally heard from Michigan, she got waitlisted. . . anybody else hear anything?

hilaron, did you hear back through the mail?

what does it mean if i haven't heard back yet after being deferred earlier?

Yes, it was through the mail. She received the letter at the beginning of last week. If you haven't heard anything by now, you might want to call the theatre admissions office and inquire as to your status. They could at least tell you whether a final decision has been made, and when you might expect the letter.
