<p>I got an email from LMU saying that they got my application on January 16...haven't heard anything since then. Also, I got a postcard around that time too that said they got my application and if anything was missing they would contact me soon. I haven't been contacted, so I just assumed they had all my materials. I'll post when I hear something.</p>

<p>HKcouture, why don't you call them? I called them because I wanted to make sure that they had everything, - there was a reason that we thought something was missing - and they told me that a decision has already been made and it was ready to be mailed. That was in December, and it took another four days to arrive at the house. They may actually tell you more, as you are the student, I am just the parent, so that was all that they would tell me!</p>
<p>I am really surprised that there are not more, or any, notifications from LMU. They are rolling admissions, or so I thought, so I expected they would start notifying mid January. But, here it is mid March, and except for those that heard before Christmas, I don't know of anyone who has heard anything. Perhaps they changed the way they do things since this was the first year they had Early Notification?</p>

<p>BayAreaCAMom, there have been students who have heard since January. If you look on LMU's website, they explain that they are going through all of the applications, and basically that you will hear. I guess they have more applications than usual, as do so many schools this year, and they will get them out as soon as possible. It is so frustrating to have to wait.</p>
<p>yes...i have tried calling many times...but for some reason the phone lines are ALWAYS busy...and i wait and wait...but sometimes waiting takes to long..but thanks for the advice!..ill keep calling and hopefully some positive news comes up !</p>
<p>I emailed LMU today, and it turns out my D's 7th semester transcript was never received. So, the high school counselor faxed it over to them today. Good thing I checked in with them! I asked how admissions were going in general, but did not get an answer.</p>
<p>I know what the website says - all the colleges are telling us to be patient. I know they have a huge load of applications to wade through. It is just that since this is a Rolling Admissions school, I am surprised that there are not a lot more posts here on this site about acceptances or rejections. And my daughter has not heard anything from anyone hearing from LMU at her school, and lots of people there apply to LMU. Just seems very quiet. There is a lot more activity on the posts at other schools.</p>

<p>BayAreaCAMom, that is a little disturbing that they needed a transcript, didn't have it, and didn't notify you. They tell everybody to be patient, but if you had not checked . . .
As for this forum being quiet, well, yes, it really isn't as popular as some others, but, I think that the schools with specific acceptance dates get more posts as the deadlines approach. LMU just randomly releases decisions, so it doesn't get the excitement building. Check out Pepperdine. It has been pretty dull, but it will pick up as April first - decision day - approaches!</p>
<p>i def got a letter from them asking for 7th semester grades...and my college counselor sent them in a week or two after i told him..he was just waiting for teachers to finalize grades...</p>
<p>but honestly.i wouldnt stress out as much if LMU wasnt a "rolling" school..but they are and i havent gotten a decision.....oohh the frustration</p>
