<p>Well, none of this bodes well for me. I think I'm the only one waiting now for acceptance or rejection from LMU. I applied as transfer, but with a far worse GPA than those on the boards (3.0 average). I'm hoping my internship with a Congressman and my SAT I score (1710) is going to carry me in.</p>
<p>Admissions said I should know by this week, so I'll keep you guys updated. LMU is the only place I applied, so pray for me guys! :-/</p>

<p>I'm not too affected, I guess. I'm sorry for the people that got rejected--LMU's rejection letter sounds pretty rude, judging from the posts on here.</p>

<p>No mail for my son today from LMU. We live 3 miles from campus. I am calling tomorrow to find out if they still have his application. I can't believe it. He figured today at least he could get some closure from LMU.</p>
<p>On another note, I had mentioned that nephew was admitted in December with LMU scholarship. Still hadn't received financial aid packet - he finally called FA office. They have no idea why his FAFSA and CSS were not processed, as they arrived at LMU BEFORE priority deadline in February.</p>
<p>When the FA person investigated, couldn't find a record of the scholarship that he was awarded. They are still trying to figure it out, but FA is based on priority, so hopefully the money isn't gone. He has been patiently waiting to compare offers. </p>

<p>jdlex where are you from on the east coast? I'm still waiting here in Ohio. They said they made a decision on the 9th and sent it out the 10th. Did anyone else apply to the film school and get accepted or rejected?</p>
<p>Yes joekster, the guy I talked to in admissions told me all transfers were getting processed starting last Tuesday and ending this Friday. We'll see how it goes. I'll let you know when I find out more, I think I'm going to call again tomorrow.</p>

<p>Wow. LMU fails at life this year.</p>
<p>Latest update - as of 4 pm this afternoon, called admissions. Talked with nice counselor who cannot figure out why my son's application never was processed. Never processed - submitted in October, deferred in December and then...who knows what happened to it? </p>
<p>Nephew's financial aid application was not processed, because he is taking a concurrent enrollment class from our high school through LMU. They somehow thought he was a "current student".</p>

<p>Littlegreenmom, did the counselor tell you that he is an accepted student automatically if they lost his app.? I heard a rumor floating around these boards that was the case.</p>
<p>No. He said he was looking into it. Who knows how long it will take. I have heard that rumor, too.</p>
<p>arigarnica, I got rejected and LMU was a safety for me. I had the stats for it...I honestly have no idea on what basis they pick people. I've seen kids with lower GPAs and less ECs get in, and there's a girl on this board who got into NYU film but not LMU film, which is far less prestigious and challenging.</p>
<p>My guidance counselor told me I had a good shot and my career counselor told me I'd get in no problem. Then again, film is getting very competitve in general at any school, so it may have been the film competition that screwed me over.</p>
<p>But here are my stats...</p>
