Still Waiting?

Has anyone still not heard?! It's April 1st and still no news for kids at my school in MD. Is there any hope left or do the rejections just come later?

you should keep hope, there are a handful of kids on this board that still haven’t heard - and they seem like really good candidates.

good luck =D

Stephennn, did your acceptance come in a package or a regular envelope?

i called the office yesterday and the lady on the other end said - paper envelope. but this is really late. keeping up the hope !

sorry, i meant snail mail - by paper envelope - as opposed to e-mail.

it comes in a big envelope (idk if you consider that a package) via USPS

Still haven’t heard on this end…which I find rather cruel. Why do the kids, who are going to be rejected (some of course will get in), have to wait this long to hear? Especially if this is their top choice? Regardless of what happens with my child, I think the rejections should be sent before April 1st or by April 1st. Colleges remain an educational institution and even though they are not in the obligation of holding a child’s hand, and they shouldn’t, there is no reason to prolong the agony either. Sorry, had to vent.

i agree with you poh.

I’m totally with you there poh. This whole process is getting aggravating. It’s like being terminal and still hoping to live.

Rejected today. So upset :(

windmill33, where in MD are you? The website said almost all of them were in the mail and they were still reviewing a couple. I haven’t gotten mine either! YIKES!

Can they get this over with already? If I’m getting rejected, I would really like to hear soon so that I can put down deposits for housing at other colleges!

Haven’t heard in So. Cal either.

Norcal and I haven’t heard ANYTHING. I know 7 seniors at my high school still waiting to hear from NYU! There are probably more but I just don’t know them.

Two others who got likely letters still haven’t gotten their packages either!

Did the post office just decide to hold all of our decisions hostage or something?!

Hate to burst your bubble but it’s high likely that NYU rejected all of you still waiting. Rejections are sent out last.

I’m on vacation, so I won’t know until I get back!!!

This is so annoying
My friend who already got admitted went to nyu today for a campus visit
so im guessing this is the end of nyu for me then
