Applied to CLAS (Biochemistry...ironic huh? pokes senior grades) by Jan. 10 deadline.

I think you have some goods things going for you (class rank, GPA, first generation college student, etc.), but the test scores just aren't there. However, I think the good things will probably make up for the bad, giving you a good shot.

bumping board! :D

I agree with svg1990, your test scores aren't really the best. However, you have other really good things going for you so that could make up for it. Being 1st generation and amazing grades is awesome. Your essay sounds really good too. Good Luck! :)

I don't know what your chances are, and neither does anybody else on this board. However, I do know that you have lousy counselors at your school. Whoever let you sign up for AP lit, bio, chem, and calculus at the same time was out of their mind. These are the toughest possible APs, (well, calc BC is tougher), taking them at the same time was a bad idea. Too late to do anything about it now, but I would not worry if I was you,

Well AP Lit I could handle. But having Calculus, Biology, and Chemistry at the same time was such a bad idea. Especially Chem. Maybe if I had not taken Chem I might've done better in Bio and Calc. There was just so much reading for Bio and memorization. And I really couldn't keep up in Chem, especially since the teacher decided to treat AP Chem and Bio (same teacher) as a college class and graded everything on a curve. So if the median test score was a 93, and I got a 93, I'd get a B. You had to really stand out to get an A in Bio and Chem. And for Calculus, I can't really say much. I wish I could've done better =(

I'd say you have a chance because nothing is definite when it comes to admissions. But if one thing were to bring you down, it would be your SAT scores. At the same time, your ECs will boost you up.
