does anyone know how i could buy oil stocks. i heard you can make a lot of money.

Can't really help you on that one but I can tell you the avg. price of gas per gallon is $0.48 in Saudi Arabia :(!

I heard you can get some at the local store.

Just set up an account with an online stock trading service. The oil stocks that I'm familiar with, however, are very expensive ($60 a share). You may want to research up and coming companies that have relatively cheap stocks ($1-$5) and buy in bulk.

We actually did that in my AP Econ class senior year and followed a bunch of stocks to see how they did. It was very fun and interesting, and you can make quite a bit of money, but you'll need to buy in bulk.

buying any oil company isn't a very smart or automatic way to make big bucks.

I'll be following this thread for some good laughs. I see good potential.

Buy some Berkshire. ;)

does anyone reccomend what stocks i should buy? i dont know much about stocks at all.

anyone care to explain stocks in general? i for one can't make heads or tails out of it.

Apple went up like $20 in a quarter. Google went up like $120 in a quarter. Morgan Stanley went up $15 in a month or something. Goldman Sachs is hitting $200, and they were in the $145 range a quarter ago. Now is a great time to buy any stocks. I wish I bought a share of google.

But be careful though...this kind of growth can't and won't last forever.

You and, oh I dunno, everyone else on the planet. Welcome to the club. Keep all hands inside the vehicle until it comes to a complete stop. In event of emergency, do not panic. The ride will appear violent, but is in fact fairly stable in the long run.

Diversify your portfolio, and have a nice ride.
