Stockholm syndrome at Williams?

Oh, trust me, I never made that claim! My school definitely has its fair share of immature people. No point in refuting that :>

Well, it’s clear that the person who ultimately felt the most uncomfortable was Mr. Wood. This is the offending paragraph (otherwise, known as “speech”) that apparently upset him the most (mind you, this is one person’s post on a now defunct Facebook page):

Does hyperbole amount to bullying?

Well, yes. When half the campus is acting as if they’re about to lynch you, it does get uncomfortable I’m sure.

Hyperbole isn’t bullying, but congrats on cherry picking one of the few posts that didn’t directly insult Wood’s character.

But thanks for including this interesting post nonetheless – reading it gave me a good laugh. :D/

I didn’t cherry pick it; Zach Wood did:

“I’m missing how this is like Stockholm Syndrome, since there’s no kidnapping going on at Williams. Just willing, paying customers.”

@GMTplus7 , well played sir. Well played.

"Just to circle back on this, ended up declining Williams.

Due to Williams’ strong reputation, really tried to get comfortable with it. But in the end, could not get past its intellectual north korea or cowardly stance toward unfashionable views. Somewhere along the line, its leaders have forgotten the lesson that the best antidote to wrong thinking is sunlight, not hands over eyes."

Frankly, I like to play the “who is this poster really?” game, and in this round, I’m doubting the sincerity of your post. That is, I’m doubting you have had anything to do with Williams - applied to, interested in or accepted by - and instead you are here pursuing another agenda.

You, sir, are a paper hanger.
