Stolen mail?

Has anyone ever had their mail stolen/lost at school? A package was sent from my home town to my dorm- a distance of about 100 miles- around 3 weeks ago and I never received it. I'm getting really ****ed off because it was something I needed for school, and now I'm going to have to buy it again when I have no extra money. The package wasn't sent back as a wrong address or anything, it just disappeared. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Were you able to do anything about it?

If it was shipped by UPS, they have a cool online tracking where you can see where the package is. Every time i am waiting for something i always check and they are always right. The UPS guy is one of my favorite people. They do have the most ugly colored trucks an they always run away and never say anything. And sometimes if its valueable things they have insurance for it, so i would check. and the place you bought the stuff from might just send it to you again cause they want you to buy more stuff in the future. And what always works is, well you have to have your parents call them, and then you have them talk to the manager and usually then you can get what you want.

October, Have you asked for the college (mailroom) to look for the package? One time, I sent a package to my son and as far as he knew, it didn’t arrive. He never received an email or package slip. However, the following week, he went down and asked if there was a package for him. There is was-----the problem was that the mailroom failed to contact him to come and pick it up.

I’ll have to look into that  I was told our mail system was realllyyyyy slow, but 3 weeks is pretty ridiculous! I assumed I didn’t have something at our college mailroom because usually they’ll list people who do have stuff there, but who knows. I’ll look into that, and I’ll also probably go to the town’s post office. Maybe that will help.

Agree with asking them to check. I’ve had one package that I was never notified about (aka ‘missing’) along with ones where I was sent an e-mail but never received a slip in the box. They just changed their mail system this semester so I hope they work out the kinks soon…

Definitely check with the college’s mailroom. There is a possibility that it’s sitting there and they just failed to contact you about it.
