I was wondering the same thing, and called since it’s more effective than emailing but the admissions office stops taking calls after 4:30. I have a bad feeling that includes Quarter 1 grades…blah

Stonehill sent an email after my first quarter grades were accepted saying all my materials were accounted for.

Did you guys get the Decision-Letter-Was-Sent email?

I sent in my app mid-october, my sat scores as well, the only thing that would hold me back would be my 1stQ grades and i just got a letter in the mail today dated 11/15/09 saying they had everything and were working towards a decision…so confusing! I’m going to assume my firstQ grades are the reason i didnt get the email, or maybe it’s an alphabetical thing since i’m a V.

ALSO: stonehill 14, if you find out anything about why we might not have gotten the email, let us know.

Stonehill14 (and any others), just curious… what do you love so much about Stonehill? We like the school a lot too. Our only concern is how small a school it is (enrollment, not acreage ;)).

On the one hand, smaller seems to equate to smaller classes, more personal attention (from teachers, adminstrators, etc.) = all good. OTOH, at <2500 students, are there enough activities (i.e. mainstream concerts, movies, dances, etc.) to entertain students?

Thank you.

Accepted!!!

stats for anyone who was accepted?

Hi, i got in with $10,000/year
I have a 1310/1930 on the SAT and a 3.7/4 GPA

Congrats, my guys are still waiting…do you live close to MA or in the beginning of the alphabet? : )
I worry about the size for one daughter, but not the other…if there are nice students, she’ll be fine with a low-key atmosphere, the other might need more activities.

beachlover 10: i think we didnt get the e-mail because our 1st quarter grades werent in early enough? The letter that says they recieved eveything for me was dated November 20th :(

Sandman62: i love basically everything about it. It is absolutley gorgeous, the people are really nice, it is small so you get more oppurtunities to get help from profesors and its academically and up-and-coming school.

Congrats to those who got in! Did you all recieve e-mails within the last day or so telling you the decision was made? I’m still waiting.

Stonehill 14: E-mail your regions counselor and ask when you should expect to know. that’s probably the easiest way or you can always call tomorrow. the woman for my region said I should know within the week regardless of quarter1 grades

Thanks! I will and Im glad to know youll be finding out soon cause hopefully that means I will too. Good luck!

Just got my daughters admission letter!
740 M 680 R 720 W
top 10% all honors classes
good activities
10K presidential scholarship!

Good luck to all waiting, BTW D/school works on a trimester so no report available yet, so I don’t think 1 Qtr report is necessary to hear

My twins got their letters today…they left them open on my computer! They received a Stonehill Honors Merit Scholarship for 10.000. (You would need a 3.3 to keep that.) They are very happy but know they would need more than that to attend. I will send out FA info asap, but I know next year, because of an internal job change, my husband will be making 3-4000 more a year (not a huge amount, but it can change aid)
They would like to attend the Honors forum in March, fingers crossed, the package will work out.
Good luck to everyone else who applied!

Congrats! Does that mean they got into the honors program? And what were their stats?

Yes, it was an invitation. They (even though it’s anonymous) don’t like me posting scores, but they were mid-600’s and one twin got 710 in writing. GPA was 3.8, weighted, if my memory is correct. They took about 2-3 AP’s, and will have 3 each this Spring. Between them they had a 3, 4 and 5 on them.

Just found out yesterday, I got in with $10,000 per year. Superscored: M-650, R-720, W-730 Total: 2100. 3.7 GPA. Performing Arts for four years and started my own club for awareness to the Genocide in Darfur.

I also found out yesterday that I was accepted to stonehill yesterday with a 11K scholarship per year and got into the Honors program. Congrats to everyone else who got in! Stonehill14, I hope you find out soon and are happy with the result!

Do you guys think you’ll end up attending Stonehill? I applied ED so I’m bound to it (not that I mind :D) but I’m wondering, what other schools did you apply to?
