stonehill vs. loyola (MD) vs. St. Mike's

My daughter is deciding between these 3 schools. She is entering as undeclared. Does anyone have any thoughts about which is he strongest academically?

I would go to their course catalogs, which are all online, and check out the courses in the depts in which she is most interested.

Anne62…Loyola is a wonderful choice for an undeclared major. I saw your post on the Stonehill site and believe you were given some well intended but incorrect information concerning the ability to switch majors at Loyola. A prime reason why S chose Loyola is because he was undecided and liked the fact that he did not need to declare a major until the 2nd semester of sophomore year. With the core curriculum, an undeclared student has time to sample various courses before deciding on a major without having to take additional courses to graduate. S liked the idea he could start in the College of Arts and Sciences as an undeclared student and easily move into the Sellinger School of Business when he later decided on business. S could not easily do this at the other colleges where he was accepted. S loves Loyola and is thriving.
Your daughter has some wonderful choices. Good luck to you and your daughter with her upcoming college decision.

funfatdaddy, Thanks. I also remember from our Loyola visit that it was easy to change majors. At Villanova they said it could be difficult to change b/t schools, which turned my daugter off. We are scheduled for re-vists, then I guess she will decide.

Anne62… Yes. S was accepted to Villanova and was very turned off by the difficulty to move into business if he later decided that was his path. Liked Loyola more on several fronts. Loyola really is a wonderful choice for undeclared majors. Minors also are easy to take between schools.
I remember April as being a pretty exciting time as S did not make his final decision until the second visit to Loyola in April.
Again good luck to you and your daughter.
