Is Stonehill considered an ok school? I got a lot of money from them and was thinking of going here and applying to Notre Dame and Emory as transfer.

Think possible from Stonehill with a good GPA?

Notre Dame and Stonehill were actually both founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross. Stonehill has excellent academic programs, including a joint engineering program with Notre Dame. Since the vast majority of students (85% from IPEDS) that attend Stonehill stay and graduate from there rather than transfer out, it looks like they don’t have many transfers to go by to guage your chances.

Have you already been accepted to ND or Emory this year and are trying to save $$ for a couple of years, or are you trying to decide between other schools (and Stonehill) with the possibility of transfer after one or two years?

If it is the first, you may want to just go with the school that is the best fit for you (if you have sufficient resources) and not risk the transfer app. If it’s the second, the same applies regarding fit, and doing well at any school you choose to attend may potentially help your transfer options.

Good luck with your decision!

I unfortunately got rejected from ND (had 4.0 but sat only 1350) and never applied to Emory because never knew of it. I got into Villanova Business but want to transfer to ND Econ major. I worry at Nova getting a 3.6+ would be very difficult and ND does not seem to care where transferring from. Family says go where don’t worry about transfer but Stonehill affordable and everyone I talk to says they knew where they were meant to be when they walked on campus, and Notre Dame did that for me in so many ways
