Hey guys! I was accepted yesterday into SBU and wanted to start a forum of students who received decisions! Post your stats too :D

For fall 2012!?

@takeabow,
What is your GPA and what major?
:D

Congratulation, welcome to the Seawolf Pack :)

Just popping in to let you all know that a VERY SMALL percentage of decisions are out. We wanted to get a handful of admits out before the holidays, just to start moving some files that had already gone through committee out.

There is NO correlation between when you applied and when your decision will come; so please be patient as we put the pieces together over the next two months. Thanks!

I got accepted to Stony Brook two days ago too. I’m definitely happy, but I’m still waiting to hear decisions from 3 other SUNYs before I make my decision. :)

I just read takeabow’s statistics in the Binghamton board and they look excellent so I’m not suprised they accepted this user. Binghamton likely accepted you too no? Anyways my prediction is that Stony Brook (and others) first sends out decisions to the most qualified applicants, which would also be the applicants likely not to accept admission. While although they would love these students to accept, if they let stony brook admissions know soon enough that they will not accept admission, it opens up room for others that applied that may have lower statistics and really want to attend. Could be wrong though!

I won’t know until later this month about Binghamton but Stony Brook is definitely a contender. I’m just worried about all the hype of Stony Brook being named a commuter school so if I don’t get into Bing I will be between SB and New Paltz most likely.

Accepted :]

are these decisions for fall 2012??

Yeah they are, some came early. Anyway,
