Stony Brook Interview

Has anyone here had an interview with Stony Brook University's Scholars for Medicine, either this year, or past years? I was hoping to learn more about the interview process, because I've received practically no information on it.

Thanks.

hey small town girl - have you gotten mail from honors college and have they scheduled an interview for you? I haven't heard anything back from Stony Brook.

Yes, I received a letter from Stony Brook requesting an interview with the Scholars for Medicine Program in conjunction to the Honors Program(s). I'm not sure if they've all been sent out.

I don't really want to know what the interviewers asked, etc; I just would like to find out how the day goes, was it low key, the attire, etc. I am really interested in this program.

Hello

I was interviewed and accepted at Stonybrook a couple of years back. The interview is VERY lowkey. I remmeber not being particularly impressed with the facilities but everyone was very nice and friendly. They don't interview many people and if you are interviewed, you have an excellent chance of being admitted. I remember interviewing and hearing from them a couple of days later with FedEx. Good luck

Thanks so much. It seems like a nice program, but I've never visited the school so my opinion may be bound to change, but I hear that it's one of the more rigorous BS/MD programs to get into.
