<p>Hi all! I just want to do a quick poll for those of you who actually know either of these universities. I am a health science major on the pre med track. I just want to know:</p>
<p>Quinnipiac or Stony Brook?</p>
<p>I have a feeling no one is going to go for Stony Brook, but I like it more. You’re going to hear a lot of “its a commuter school, no life on campus, etc” but from what I’ve seen with my cousin, as well as kids who go from my school, its a good school and has a good campus life. (everyone that goes from my school dorms… about 20 to 40 each year)</p>
<p>Both schools are good for pre-med, though. At SB you’ll find more people in the sciences/health sciences</p>
<p>I really don’t care about anything except education. Everything else is a plus. If I attend Stony Brook I will commute, if I attend QU I will dorm.</p>

<p>Are you in-state in NY? Likely, since you said you would commute to Stony Brook. Either way I would probably go to Stony Brook; it has a great reputation especially for the sciences. And you could save a lot of money by commuting.</p>
<p>it sounds like your from new york which means…BIG DIFFERENCE IN PRICE between quinnipiac and stony brook which is HUGE. And if you don’t mind commuting then it seems stony brook just makes more sense!</p>
