Stony Brook, Poly NYU, and Rutgers New Brunswick

Hi I'm a transfer student with 35 transferable credits with a 3.37 gpa overall (3.7 taking out remedials) on the 4.0 scale. I want to major in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, or anything related. I am looking to transfer to Stonybrook, Poly NYU, or RU- New Brunswick. I am a president of a club with around 300-400 hours of ECs including tutoring. What are my chances? I am not a NY resident (CA resident to be exact). I have heard that Poly NYU does have the reputation that the others do. Is that true? I figure anything with NYU on it will get me some reputation and pull when it comes to going to medical school.

Also any other ideas for some good schools in my ballpark?
Feedback needed!
(Sorry if this is sloppily typed. I'm on my iPhone ^^)

New York is the general area for the ballpark I mentioned with a 100 mile radius

Or do you think I should wait another semester and add UC Davis to the list?

Your undergraduate won’t matter too much when it comes to admission to medical school. As long as you have good mcat scores + GPA, you stand a good chance.
If you are a CA resident, I would definitely complete all the prereqs in order to get into one of the UC’s. They wil save you tons of money.

All three are good schools. NYU has a really good rep, so I would assume their satellite school is noteworthy as well. Look into the campus first. Stony is supposed to be really good for its sciences and med programs, so you might want to consider there. I don’t know too much about Rutgers besides that its another ranking institution and New Jersey’s flagship. Do you mean a 100 mile radius from New York City? If not then I would also say check out schools like Binghamton and Rensselaer Polytechnic. Maybe even Fordham which is in the Bronx. Is price a factor? Even though I’m not sure there is much of a difference coming from CA.

I got into schools with about a 3.3. I know that some of the better NY public universities are looking for above a 3.0, including Stony Brook. So your GPA looks solid. You also have extra circulars which is a plus.
