Stony Brook Spring 2019 Freshman Transfer- Chance Me + Questions

I recently applied for the Spring 2019 semester at Stony Brook. I’m currently in my first semester at community college and was wondering if I’ll get accepted for the Information Systems major at Stony Brook. I’m currently a C.S. major at my CC right now. My high school average was a 94 and my ACT score is a 29. I got accepted in my senior year of high school, just for a different major. Do I have a shot at getting in again? I know that if you have under 24 credits, SB looks mostly at your high school grades and test scores, so I’m hoping this puts me at the advantage. The reason I’m transferring so early is because I missed the original deadline for the Fall 2018 semester.

Also, last year(or the year before) for spring transfers the acceptances came out as early as late October but for Spring 2019, the SB website says the results will come out mid November. Is there any possibility that the results will come out earlier than suggested on the website? I applied last week.

Thanks !!

Hey I also applied for Spring 2019 as a freshman transfer, but my high school stats were 91.66 average and 1380 SAT. Hope we both get in!

Tbh CS seems to be very hard to get into, specially as a freshman. It seems that those going into any CEAS major need two semesters of college calculus + two semesters of an advanced science course. But it doesn’t hurt to try - I wish you the best of luck!
