I am trying to decide whether I should attend Stony Brook University (SUNY) or St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC). I received a full tuition scholarship from STAC and an invitation to join their honors college. I received a scholarship covering half of tuition at stony brook and an invitation to join their university scholars program (it's like an honor society), however, so cost balances out. Both offer the programs in social work and education that I am interested in. At STAC I would not be as challenged academically and could be involved in more activities, whereas at Stony Brook the academics would be stronger and I would have less time for extracurriculars. I am basically trying to decide between the small school atmosphere of STAC (and the fact that it is closer to home) and the larger size and greater options Stony Brook offers. Any thoughts/suggestions please? Thanks in advance, your comments will be greatly appreciated as I make my final decision :D
