Hi all, I am currently a sophomore at an ivy league, and have found myself to be quite unhappy. I'm way too far away from my family, and am struggling academically. Also, my financial aid keeps getting reduced, so I can't even to pay my tuition. I'm looking into transferring into a state school, and Stony Brook wold be ideal. I applied and got in when I was coming out of high school, but am afraid that my poor performance as an undergrad will prevent me from being accepted into another university as a transfer (my gpa is VERY low). I was wondering what the stats are for transfers at Stony, and whether they'd be willing to disregard some of the grades I have received in my early semesters. Thanks.

You can be considered. I think they will understand your situation
