@sbuadmissions @sbuadmission I am a high school student in New York, who will like to major in biochemistry. My high school allows students to take college classes from from Professors at Baruch and LaGuardia community college, who come into the school to teach. We get dual credits, high school and college. I have taken so far
From LaGuardia community college
Critical thinking
MAT 115 and MAT 200
ENG 101
Will take Sociology, Chemistry, Astronomy in the Fall And Spring.
Baruch
Journalism
** will take Pyschology 101 in Fall/spring
I also took Apush with a 4.
Do I get credit for all of these? Also can I just request my transcript from these colleges and send it to the credits to carry over to Stony brook.
Also does ENG101 emit me from taking Writing 102.
Sorry for grammar errors
You must submit your official transcripts from both CUNY schools for your college now courses along with your regular transcripts. You can ask the school if you can send a certified copy. In order to do this you get the official transcripts and give them to your GC. They will stamp and seal with the school stamp certifying that the have the original document on file.
Since you attend school in NYC, SUNY will automatically pull your transcripts if you put your student I’d (OSIS) number on your application.
I would wait until you decide what school you are attending before sending AP scores because they must come directly from the college board and you will have to pay for the score report.
You can also find most course equivalencies here: https://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/advising/_transferinfo/course_eqiv.html
Thank you so much @sybbie719 @sbuadmissions
