Stonybrook Accpetance Requirements

I am a sophomore in an advanced public school in New York and want to go to Stonybrook in the future. I have around an 84 average and am on my way to getting an advanced regents diploma. I have scored a 97 on the US history regents, a 92 on the English regents, a 70 on the Physics regents which I took in 9th grade instead of 10th, a 86 on earth science which I took in 8th grade, and a 90 in Biology which I took in 7th grade. I scored a 70 on the integrated algebra regents which I took in 8th grade and scored a 75 when I retook it in 9th. I am currently taking chemistry and I believe I can score around an 85 on that and am taking Global History which I can get above a 90 on. Assuming I do average on the SAT's what are my chances of getting in. I am worried that my GPA isn't high enough but I am in an advanced school and will be taking AP courses junior and senior year. Do they take into account how high I scored taking some of these regents in middle school or is my GPA to much of a drawback? Also I don't play any sports and have almost 0 community service hours could improving on this help my chances? I realize I spelt Acceptance wrong.

Relax, you’re a sophomore. Join a team or start a club and volunteer at a meaningful place and make sure you dedicate yourself. Present yourself as the type of person who contributes to the community and society. Just don’t join too many things and then quit them later on. Instead focus on a few and make them meaningful.

You have plenty of time to raise your grades. I wouldn’t worry too much about your regents. They’re not important, even if it is a SUNY school. Focus on SAT, gpa and extracurricular.

uhh, you can totally get into stonybrook, if you’re as smart as you say you are you can get into an ivy, i wouldn’t worry.
