<p>My d did the Young Scholars program at Stony Brook. She earned 21 college credits during her sophomore, junior and senior year It was a great deal - 3 - 4 credits for $100. The program offers a nice variety of classes that start after 3:00.</p>
<p>My D did a couple of sessions. She enjoyed going with her friends, but did not think much of the program or the teachers. As a high school junior, she played in the SB undergrad orchestra. She did not think very highly of the experience. She almost quit during senior year. She stuck it out but was thoroughly convinced she wanted nothing more to do with UG music at SB. Under duress, she applied as a safety, was awarded a full scholarship, but would not have been able to study with the studio head who was only allowed to teach grad students. Too bad; it would have saved us lots of money.</p>
