<p>yea definately buffalo, i’ve lived in stony brook my whole life and im goin away this fall, stony brook is really only a good choice if u want to go into health sciences (they have a great undergrad program and a med school/dental school etc.) i got accepted to buffalo and went up this past weekend, looks pretty legit, quality kids. maybe its just my opinion that stony brook isnt a great school for other things, since i’ve lived here for 18 years, and half the kids at stony brook are from around here and they commute, which isnt great either, im pretty sure buffalo has the best engineering program out of all the suny schools</p>
<p>ub is a lot of fun… not that stony brook isn’t its just it seems to me that everyone that goes to stony brook commutes and get off campus during the weekends. at ub more people stay on campus during the weekends and every student practically loves the school. that’s just my opinion, it may be a little biased… i hope it helps. plus you get the mix of upstater’s vs. downstaters which is fairly interesting…</p>

i was just saying it cause i know a lot of people talk about the differences between the two, but i think they’re great i can wait to meet them at ub (ive never been to nyc…)</p>

<p>yeah same…oh man i just visited manhattan college today they all seemed really nice but the college is so freaking small and theres barbed wire fences all around the nearby neighborhood its insane… hah sry i know this has nothing to do with buffalo or stonybrook</p>
<p>yeah buffalo too, buffalo has excellent programs for business, engineering, health, and its pharmD program is ranked 13 in the country, definitely worth consideration</p>

haha but yea i get what you mean its like 2 different worlds, but im excited to meet new people and have them make fun of my brooklyn accent. lol i havent decided yet but the more i think about it the more it makes sense to go to UB.</p>

<p>thanks for that!! lol. but yeah it is pretty much a different world up here— we have lots of land, and like to walk around in the freezing cold (at least my family does). buy yeah, i have been emailing the admissions rep from our area almost daily because i just applied. for ub, i have fairly high stats but i am extremely nervous at getting admitted this late in the game. GO BULLS!</p>

<p>i would go to stonybrook and dorm; i go to buffalo and actually going to transfer; im from queens and i just find Buffalo too slow FOR MY LIKING.</p>
