Personally, I have begun to get senioritus. I play tennis year round so now when I see the beautiful (in Portland Or. anways) weather I really want to be outside playing tennis. Plus, this last semester will matter very little in terms of college. I already have valedictorian status and my EC’s are winding down. I need to break this habit of procrastination that is forming! Anyone here going through this same thing?

yep, tell me about it. Like right now, I should be doing homework, but what am I doing? Browsing this stupid site!!! Because I'm a spaz with sernioritis!! CC is addictive.

I don't even do homework anymore. I have 4 AP classes and it's second semester senior year. I've pretty much stopped caring :

Ehh... I got straight A's my first semester of senior year, and still managed to somewhat maintain it (except for one class), but I certainly have slipped from last semester in terms of motivation.

motivation, what motivation, like a pavlovian dog I start salivating whenver I see a big envelope in the mail :)

Don't even try to stop the onslaught of a senioritus epidemic. You will fall victim to its wonders.

ditto that

After hearing from UCLA, I have like forgotten about school. But, I hit senioritis like uhhh... freshman year. Lol. Always been a procrastinator. It's not that bad though, as long as you fulfill the conditions.

I have 3 D's Currently -_-;, 1 C, and 3 A's
And finding that i got accepted to UCLA, i have to now work hard again.

lol...i'm scared too
i have 2 D's 2 B's 1 C now...sigh... 2.0 >.< i hope i can pull this up
subconsciously i wanna forget about school, thats y every single day since 2nd semester started, i always lose something, either folder or book or paper or ID, grr i hate this. it takes me more time 2 look for my stuff than 2 do it.

used to be the most conscientous student ever, as in take your books home and outline them on the weekend sort of conscientous - no joke - straight A's....got straight A's first semester and now that I already got valedictorian status and... that college apps are out and mid yrs...i've become suuuch a slacker. i 'm on the senior fail list now for absences b/c frankly i just dont want to go to school anymore, almost got dropped from my online courses that are graduation requirements for never logging on and i'm def not going to be getting straight A's this semester (tho no C's or D's ... i dont think lol) quite honestly, i dont see a point in trying to make seniors in the LAST nine wks of the LAST semester when were all preoccupied with college crap finanical aid scholarships ap exams do anymore work. Wasnt 3 and a half yrs and then some enough?? give us a break already. needed to vent

man ive been unbelievably unmotivated since december when i i was accepted ED. now my days are basically spent on aim, out with friends and on CC.

Me too! I'm also a valedictorian, but it's probably going to drop to salutorian or below by the end of this semester because of senioritus. I'd rather get ready for college than worry about stupid grades. I used to have more A+s than As in the hardest possible classes. Now, I'm happy if I manage an A-.

haha, see, I moved senior year and they weight completely differently at my old school and thus, my class rank is pretty much meaningless... which is bad because i dont even have that to motivate me.

Senioritus is terrible, and it's not helped by CC's crack-like addictive properties

lmao... right on, deathbydedalus.

Me + AP Physics = nap time

I'm still getting all As, but the minute I get a new assignment I say to myself, "I'm sick of this, I'm not doing this," but I end up doing it anyway because I'm a sucker.

Does high school class rank matter for anything besides college admissions?

I think my class rank might drop from 1, and it would relieve some guilt if I knew that it would have no effect on me for the rest of my life.

i had an argument with my best friend and my teacher today about senioritis. he has it, terribly, more than anyone in my class, but i dont think i reallly do. he says i do. like parasitelin said, i tell myself that i dont wanna do work, but i give in. lol. this time last year, i would be panicing about ap exams and would not touch the computer until the weekend. hehe, then i discovered CC.
