Straight A's all high school and then a "B" for mid-year report...how bad is that??

I've had straight A's all high school (with 2 or 3 A-'s)

This past semester, I'll have a B or maybe even B- in a class that's considered to be above AP-level.

On top of that, I'll have one 1 or 2 A-'s on the mid-year report!!

Do college consider such a scenario "senioritis" and look very unfavorably upon it, detrimentally affecting my admissions chances??

I got into Stanford SCEA, but I may stay choose to attend school here out East....

Get a life. :-p

you’re screwed.

better call that local community college, though your chances there may be slipping too.

may god be with you.

…lol…i dunno whether i should feel better or frustrated with CCer’s sarcasm

If you’re worrying about that, I should be pulling all my hair out right now

extremely bad.

first of all, it’s 1 B
second of all, it’s a darn mid-year report
third and foremost of all, you already got into Stanford
so what’s the worst case scenario. you get rejected everywhere else and have to “resort to” going to Stanford, cuz that was your safety right?

u no go to college fool

instant reject.

Are you seriously asking this question? Colleges understand Seniors have much more to do, especially in the college application department, during senior year. Having any kind of B isn’t going to hurt you at all. I don’t understand why everyone here believes someone has to have 100% straight A’s to get into an Ivy, and having anything over 2 B’s is an automatic death sentence. It’s not.

Clear reject. Stanford will probably rescind its acceptance as well. I recommend you apply to community college.

Are. You. Serious.

If you’re serious:

Colleges will ignore it.

And if you’re really worried, then go to the teacher for you class and have them write a recommendation. If it’s not senioritus, then it’s a hard class, right? And you’re probably working hard, and the teacher will say that. So they’ll know you’re not just slacking, even though NO college is going to think that, haha.

don’t worry about it

and you’re fine

BREATHE

1 B

IT’S A B. it’s not like you failed. you’re fine.

Drop out .

. . . . . . .

“This past semester, I’ll have a B or maybe even B- in a class that’s considered to be above AP-level”

***? How are there “above AP-level” classes.

Dude, looks like stanford will be rescinding soon

guys seriously colleges hate seeing downward spirals like that and he’ll probably be kicked out.

hahaha, you guys crack me up. I should start a thread… straight A’s, 4.8 weighted GPA and a 2400 SAT/36 ACT not good enough?? just to see more sarcastic replies.

But seriously, if you think 1 B is gonna hurt your chances, a 3.99 instead of a 4.0 unweighted GPA means absolutely nothing. Loads of people get into extremely selective colleges with 5-10 B’s, even a C. (a transcript with an unweighted GPA of 3.8 has about 8-10 B’s on it, and you can’t say a 3.8 GPA is bad)

i would shot myself and sell my body for science .
