Strange College Essay Topic

Hey, I am a student looking to write a college essay. My interests are mostly political, but varied from mock trial to model UN, working as a Congressional Page to being on statewide leadership for the Obama campaign. I don't want to write an essay that is cliche about running a charity event, working in Congress, or even going state to state for the Obama campaign.

So I thought I would write about doodling. What do you think?

Through my doodles, I can illustrate my reflective personality and allude to other experiences I have had. I doodle all the time, nonstop–but it doesnt get in the way of my schoolwork (4.0 UW, 5.0W) so would it be appropriate?

any topic is good as long as it reflects you. maybe have a thesis before you write?
what is the one thing you want the admissions to see in you through doodling?

It’s not the topic, it’s what you do with the topic.

Choose the topic that allows you to write the most personal, detailed, honest and revealing essay.
