I think bsalum was actually talking about the SAT and not the SSAT. I took it myself last year through Duke TIP and scored really well, yet I did not receive any recruitment from any school. Maybe it’s just through the John Hopkins program?

I got a weird thing from deerfield- didn’t interview, didn’t even start my applications. On January tenth, they sent me a hand-signed letter congratulating me about my 2 perfect ssat scores. (?) I have no idea what was up about that. I took the SATs last year too, and also scored very high- above seven hundred for one section, above six hundred for the other too. I didn’t receive any recruitment either.

There’s a box one can tick off on the SSAT sign up form, which allows the SSAT to give your address to interested schools. I think schools can buy the info–but I don’t know how detailed their requests can be.

Yes, I’ve heard Deerfield and Andover both send letters outreaching to potential candidates who have perfect scores on the SSAT. Anyone get one of these and NOT get in after the congratulatory letter?

^^I don’t know, I didn’t get a letter from Andover. We’ll just have to see on March 10th…
