Does anyone have a good strategy for the reading passages on the act?
I am really familiar with the sat test and score in the 700s, but due to the act's limited time I don't think I have enough time to read the entire passage and answer the questions, so if anyone has a good strategy I'd love to know.

For me, I put my pencil under one line so I am taking it one line at a time (my eyes tend to skip around unless I do this and the information gets jumbled). Also, do this at a rather quick pace. Don’t worry if you don’t 100% understand it the first time around. Read the questions. Go back if you need to. In the margins, jot down notes of the main focus of each paragraph. Try to keep yourself from sub-vocalizing (hearing a voice reading the passage in your head). To stop this habit, picture an object in your head as you are reading (such as a square or something).

@TurtlesRWe how long would you think it takes to master your art of speed reading? Would I be able to do so before the upcoming February test with hardcore practice?

@CCPkrazy Well I certainly haven’t mastered it lol! But I should say this is a very realistic goal for the February test! Also, reading in general will help improve your reading comprehension skills- read everything! News articles, science publications, poems, short stories- anything!
