Streaming TV shows

I know it's a bad idea to download/pirate shows and movies over the UCLA networks through torrent and/or file sharing websites.

What I wanna know though is if it's okay to stream television shows from a website like Megavideo. I'm pretty sure that it's not illegal to stream TV shows, it's only illegal to host them on streaming websites. Plus, I wouldn't be downloading anything onto my hard drive over the UCLA networks.

Still, I just wanna make sure I'd be able to do that without getting in trouble.

oh, freshmen

I did it all the time when I lived in the dorms. I even illegally streamed movies. No one ever said anything.

I think the media companies are far too concerned with illegal uploaders and downloaders to worry about us streamers (not to mention their case against us is even more difficult than downloaders). At most they go after the host.

Used to download from megaupload, rapidshare, mediafire, hotfile, and even torrents while i was living in the dorms. I only used torrents for anime and foreign stuff. I used the other free services for movies, TV shows, music, and software. Just get a downloader that will automatically get all the files one by one. Some downloaders are able to download the videos from websites like youtube or porn counterparts.

firefox + video downloadhelper + megavideo is the route that i take

what’s the first comment is i ll agree that why we waste our time in these type of things that is just a few minute goodness and then we make these things habits and at the end we can not get any thing…
