Does anyone have an idea of how good UChicago's undergraduate engineering program is compared to other top schools.

The Chicago engineering program is great in theory.

...Because there isn't an undergrad engineering school.

^ Haha, good one. =)

Someone on the old CC, I can't remember who, likened trying to major in engineering at Chicago to taking a beautiful crystal vase and using it as a basketball.

On a more serious note..........

What kind of engineering are you looking into? I'm looking at bioengineering, so at Chicago I will (potentially) be majoring in biochemistry. There's a libarts parallel to any sort of engineering field minus the actual engineering classes... so if you're just interested in the general area, maybe look into something similar (like biochem for bioengineering).
